The Quarantine Service is responsible for controlling the importation, registration, sale, and safety of pesticides (the term pesticides also includes herbicides).

The Service, through the Pesticides Registrar details import conditions (including labelling) and end uses of pesticides, and operates a strict farmer registration and licensing system for pesticide specific products.

All prospective importers should contact the Pesticide Registrar for further details well prior to completing their overseas order.
