General information   

Please look at the list below and ensure that you
declare any of these items to Quarantine on your arrival.   

The following goods are RESTRICTED ENTRY and will be seized by Quarantine Officers at the port of entry unless an import permit has been obtained prior to the goods arrival.

• Animal skins and rawhide
• Cut flowers (including leis)
• Eggs, egg products, egg trays
• Fresh fruits and vegetables
• Honey, bee equipment, honey bees
• Live animals
• Live plants
• Meat and meat products (except canned meat)
• Milk and milk products
• Pesticides (under Pesticides regulations)
• Seeds - large quantities, or for commercial use (including some raw nuts and popping corn)
• Soil
• Tissue cultures and biological materials

The following goods are normally PERMITTED ENTRY (An import permit is not required but they are subject to inspection and clearance on arrival)

• Any wooden item
• Any handicrafts
• Straw packing or straw ornamentals
• Small packets of garden seeds - total weight of consignment 150 grammes
• Sports equipment
• Garden tools, camping equipment and equipment used with animals.
